Ki-67 protein is present during all active phases of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, and mitosis), but is absent from resting cells (G0). It has been observed an increase in the presence of the Ki67 protein, which indicates a good maintenance of the skin homeostasis to support its regeneration.
Changes in keratin expression pattern are particularly important in the epidermis. Increased levels of Keratin 10 indicates increased proliferation of keratinocytes and epidermal density. This helps to prevent thinning of the skin and form an efficient epidermal barrier.
Upregulation of Keratin 17 would contribute to hyperproliferation and innate immune activation of KCs. No change was observed in Keratin 17 after Nboost protocol, which would indicate an immune response.
Nboost brings a rapid visible effect and a preventive skin aging action. Dr. Platkowska explains why this holistic protocol is ideal for patients from 25 years old.
